MAASIN CITY, Southern Leyte, January 31 (PIA) – The Civil Service Commission-Southern Leyte Provincial Office announced the upcoming Career Service Examination-Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) for Professional and Sub-Professional levels exam for the year 2015.
In a press release signed by CSC Director II Michael M. Dela Cruz, the CSE-PPT will be conducted on May 3, 2015 in Tacloban City, Catarman, Borongan City and Northern Samar.
"The CSC started accepting applications last November 17, 2014 yet until March 12, 2015," Dela Cruz noted. He said that applications will be on a first-come, first-served basis and shall be closed anytime before the deadline if the CSC Regional/Field Office has already reached the target number of applicants.
The CSC however, has not disclosed the number of target applicants for the test.
Requirements for the CSE-PPT include the following: at least 18 years of age on the date of filing of application; of good moral character; has not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, and the like; have not been dishonorably discharged from the military service of dismissed for cause from any civilian positions in the government; must have taken the same level of CS Examination in less than three months; and a Filipino citizen.
Furthermore, the CSC noted that those who have already passed the same level of examination or a comparable level of exam given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), as well as passers of Board/Bar exams, and those who graduated with honors in their bachelor's degree may opt not to apply and take the corresponding examination anymore.
Applicants who want to take the paper-and-pencil test must accomplish properly the prescribed examination form (CS Form No. 100, Revised 2012) and bring four copies of identical I.D. pictures, original and photocopy of any government-issued I.D. cards such as Passport, PRC license, SSS/GSIS ID, Postal ID, among others.
It was further noted that applicants without date of birth in their I.D. cards, original and photocopy of birth certificate issues/authenticated by the Philippine Statistics Authority is required and an examination fee of P500.00. (ajc/rgc/PIA8-SoLeyte)
