MAASIN CITY, Southern Leyte, May 7 (PIA) --  The Southern Leyte Provincial Hospital (SLPH) in Barangay Dongon, this city, received another set of medical equipments in a turn-over ceremony held May 5, 2014, OIC Chief of Hospital Dr. Noel P. Lumen bared.
Lumen disclosed that the Vocationist  Sisters Holy Family Convent, a religious organization based in Ichon, Macrohon Southern Leyte, turned-over hospital equipments such as one (1) unit Ultrasound machine, five (5) units wheeled stretchers and two (2) units of Incubator.
The turn-over ceremony was graced by Provincial Gov. Roger G. Mercado, Provincial Administrator Jesse Quilantang, Dr. Lumen, among other provincial officials and  hospital staff and the Vocationist Sisters Holy Family convent led by its Head, Sr. Rachele Peluso, SDV, Provincial Health Services Office Technical Department Head  Lumen revealed.
Earlier, SLPH had received hospital equipments from Patrick Haghedooren, a Belgian National and his wife Sandra, a native of Macrohon, Southern Leyte composed of 90 hospital beds,100 mattresses, 10 wheelchairs, 200 bed sheets, 300 blankets, 10 pcs walkers, 5 crutches and 40 pieces operational clothes.
Gov. Mercado in his message said that the budget allocated for the said equipments received by the provincial government can be used for the other equipments/materials needed, since hospital equipments from benevolent donors came on pouring.(rgc/PIA8-SoLeyte)
