These tools include  growell, rake, plastic pots with 21 cm, 24 cm. and 30 cm wide, and seedlings trays, Gayas informed. There is a total of 338 pieces for  each kind of garden tool, she bared. The said garden tools  will be directly distributed  to the school’s district supervisor or the principal who will assign the school nurse as in charge of the tools, it was learned. The said garden tools distribution  is intended for the school-based feeding program through the Agri-Pinoy’s Gulayan sa Paaralan project, that also distribute nutritious ingredients for the students, teachers  and parents as well for their school feeding activities. It can also encourage families of the beneficiaries and  serves as a model to have their own garden for the continuous nutritional improvement of their children at home. DepEd said that the education department is also promoting production of foods that are rich in protein carbohydrates, Vitamin  A and Iron as major inputs to the school feeding program and will serve as a laboratory for the learners.
