MAASIN CITY, Southern Leyte, Feb. 9 (PIA) – The Department of Education (DepEd) – Southern Leyte Division will launch its banner project UGMAD SOUTHERN LEYTE on February 21, 2017 inspired by DepEd Region 8’s Lead, Empower, Achieve thru Data-Driven Decisions (LEAD).
In a report from DepEd Senior Education Program Specialist Lyna Gayas, the project UGMAD Southern Leyte is the banner project of the division which aims to achieve high quality learning outcomes in the education department through empowering and supporting the schools and the learning centers as well. Gayas informed that it will also introduce and implement instructional innovations wherein the learners and other school stakeholders are actively engaged in the teaching-learning process. She said that the list of participants to the said launching are 25 partner-schools which are required to submit their video (VTR) of the project banner to the division office for editing. Partner-schools include Silago National Vocations High School; Hinunangan National HS; Sogod NHS; Nahaong NHS;Inchon NHS; Limasawa NHS; and Central Schools of Hinundayan, Anahawan, San Juan, St. Bernard, Libagon, San Francisco, Pintuyan, San Ricardo, Sogod, Bontoc, Divisoria, Tomas Oppus, Malitbog, Padre Burgos, Macrohon, and Elementary Schools of Consolacion, San Isidro, and Sindangan. The launchng activity is expected to be graced by Southern Leyte Governor Damian G. Mercado and Cong. Roger G.
