MAASIN CITY, Southern Leyte, Jan. 27 (PIA) -- The newly appointed National Food Authority Administrator Jason Laureano Aquino visited and returned to his hometown, Maasin City last Saturday, January 21.

NFA-Southern Leyte Information Officer-designate Elisa Almacin reported that Aquino on board Weesam Express visited here after his appointment as the new NFA administrator. “ It was both a personal and official trip of our administrator,” Almacin disclosed, saying that Aquino also wanted to visit his 81-year old mother, a retired government midwife here. The NFA provincial officials and employees had the chance to meet Aquino in a short meeting at NFA Provincial office here as well as some of the stakeholders who were eager to see him in person. Also present to welcome the new grains administrator were NFA regional officials led by Manager Marciano Alvarez and Asst. Regional Manager Bobbie Trabajo. From the NFA provincial offices, Biliran Manager Rosario Cadiz, Northern Samar Manager Raymund Tafalla and Eastern Samar Manager Martina Lodero came also to meet Aquino. NFA Provincial staff was led by Manager Lorna Ordiz. Aquino, though did not expect such grand gesture upon coming home , said  “I am fascinated and touched with all the efforts they exerted to meet me,” Almacin quoted Aquino. The new NFA Administrator assured that all concerns from each of the stakeholders and NFA employees will be addressed the soonest and asked them to give their all support for the success of all NFA programs.
